This is just the story of an every day mom, doing every day life. I might try and make, bake or create a few things along the way, since I like a good challenge. Oh and my kids will pop up a lot, just cause that is the best part about being a mom :)

To catch you up...
Too much has been going on lately, and I have not posted in a bit, so I will just put it in list form for the time being :)
-Noah is almost completely potty-trained! I am really glad that we waited until he was older, and stand by that decision :) We have had a few accidents and I still need to remind him about half the time, but overall, I am really proud of him and no NOT miss the diapers :) Although, this officially makes him a big boy...
-Hudson is still not sleeping, although I have been letting him cry...this morning it was two hours, and then it was time to get up so I just got him....bleh. I am really exhausted, but I am trusting in the Lord's strength and grace and know that He is teaching me many things.
-The Daniel fast/vegan thing that Blaine and I did was remarkable! And although we are done with it, I think we will be sticking to it for the most part. We went and had mexican food and both of us were horribly sick. I am not sure I can ever eat it again (well, at least for a bit :)
-I am just feeling a little bit better after having a HORRIBLE flu, the whole nine yards, chills, headache, fever, nausea, upset stomach, and am very grateful to see the light at the end of the tunnel today. Just trying to still take it easy, I mean come on, mom's don't get sick much (we can't) so I gotta milk it, right :)
-We are putting our house up for sale, or rent or something to get out of our mortgage in the next few weeks. After much prayers, we feel that we need to be spending less on living expenses and so we are packing up the clutter and such so that we can begin to show it soon. Keep you posted!
Well, that is us for now :)

Success and Failure all in one day!
DON'T keep reading if you have a week stomach or don't like kids...
But we finally had Noah go in his potty, after a week of trying...
And then, after that when he went down for his nap (or so we thought) he decided to take off his training diaper, poop on the floor, play with his trucks in it, smear it all over the carpet and then step in it and make footprints all over the hall :)
One step forward, two steps back...hee hee!

I miss CHOCOLATE cake part 2 :)
Well, it took me a little longer to get back to the computer, but here is why Blaine and I are doing this vegan/Daniel fast thing (Erin here is your explanation :P)
Just to explain what we are doing(I am doing it for 10 and Blaine 21, but I have a feeling we will continue)...the Daniel Fast basically is based off of the story in the Bible with Daniel and the king. He did not eat anything that the king would eat...meat, alcohol, butter, sugar, etc. This fast is based loosely on this and you are not supposed to have any meat, alcohol, dairy, artificial anything, any sweeteners, and can only drink water (I am eating eggs though, since I am still nursing and need some extra protein).
There are actually many reasons that we are doing this...
-Blaine is getting life insurance soon and wants to be in the best health possible
-We have tried to do something like this for years and just needed to both be in agreement about it
-This one has some spiritual elements to it, as it calls you to pray when you are feeling hungry and Blaine and I are really trying to press in to the Lord about some things in our lives
-I am allergic to dairy, and so was hoping that maybe I would see a difference in my chronic fatigue, skin stuff, and tummy problems if I cut it out
-We want our boys to be healthier, and we cannot ask them to eat salad and beans, if we are sucking down soda and candy all the time
I am certain that we are not doing this completely for life, but I have a feeling red meat might be a thing of the past for me, as well as the artificial stuff! The meals we are eating taste awesome, and I really am only missing my sweet stuff, like baked stuff.
Ok, I will post more tomorrow, off to clean up tonight's dinner :)

This is so my life right now...
Song by Plumb...
I woke up late
Guess I’m never really early
I hesitate, only to fail
I get so tired, of procrastinating
I need a change
I can’t do this
I can’t do this
I can’t do this by myself
I can’t do this
I can’t do this
Oh God, I need Your help
I’m standing still
I’m oh, so peaceful
I can’t pretend, that I’m fine
I get so ill, crazy, agitated
When I’ve not really died
I can’t do this
I can’t do this
I can’t do this by myself
I can’t do this
I can’t do this
Oh God, I need Your help
Press into me
Breathe me in
Bask in me
You’ll be free to do anything
I can’t do this
I can’t do this
I can’t do this by myself
I can’t do this
I can’t do this
Oh God, I need Your help
I woke up late
Guess I’m never really early
I hesitate, only to fail
I get so tired, of procrastinating
I need a change

I miss CHOCOLATE cake :)
I will write more about our adventure in a bit, but Blaine and I are going vegan, and sugar-free, and such (also called the Daniel Fast) for a bit...me for ten days, and him 21. All I gotta say is today is day three, and I hope it gets better than yesterday! But actually, it has been really fun too and such a bonding experience for us. The boys are screaming, so I will come back in a bit and finish...
