Thanksgiving 08 Part One

Here are some pics of our time in Louisiana, and I will post more about our trip later, just wanted to give a little glimpse...

Noah was really enjoying his meal, can you tell?

Noah's first "haircut"

I say that it was his first "haircut" in quotes because it took me about ten minutes, and I got three hairs! Needless to say, my son is still sporting the mullet and will be until I either get the courage to be a bit meaner and firmer with it, or I take him somewhere to get more cut, then it stays long! But then again, I am digging the little curls on the ends, so who knows?

Have you ever...

Basically this needs little description, but I was visiting my friend Sara last weekend and when you are in San Antonio, you eat breakfast tacos! She heard about this place called Taco Taco (on the Food Network it was voted best tacos in America) and so we knew we had to check it out! 45 minutes later, after waiting in a long line just to get in, we had them, and I would say...maybe second best. Oh and the line in the pic does NOT give it justice at all :)

Roller Skating (in shoes)

Well, this is only about a week late, but too cute not to post! My friends Kirsten and Hannah and I went and met at a local skating rink last week, where it is "Mommy and Me" skating time. It was really funny, both that we were the only three moms there, as well as I could not skate (I did not want to fall both on my face and on baby) and so I wore my shoes the whole time. It was quite the sight! Anyways, we had a blast and of course the other two girls rocked the house...I bet they were cool in Jr. High, and could do the hokie pokie and stuff on skates, no fair! Well, here are some pics of our fun and random morning...enjoy!

Hard...

I found out yesterday that I have to be somewhat on bed-rest (no shopping, unless it is quick or I am in a scooter, not any continuous walking, no exercize other than push-ups and stuff like that, no running, have to lay down every two-hours, etc). I am only 22 weeks pregnant, and somehow this baby already thinks it is time to come out, NOT a good thing, so all this rest will hopefully convince him to stay put for awhile! Please keep him and I in your prayers.

Not that this would bother most people, as I am sure a lot of people, even my husband ;) would welcome being told they must rest, must sit, must just "be" for awhile! The ironic thing is that God has been trying to teach me this lately, and I have not wanted to listen, and now it is almost as if I do not get a choice. I am such a go, busy, run around person, and I have been feeling Him leading me to just rest in Him, and now, whether I like it or not, I must.

I have been reading "The Shack" lately, and so...okay God, I get it. I will slow down :) But I want it to be for more than just the baby, but to be for You too...ouch, this is humbling...
